Oba Adelu Cda Hosts Ajumoni-Ota ACDC
It was the turn of Oba Adelu CDA to host Ajumoni-Ota ACDC Monthly General Meeting on Wednesday 14th September, 2022.
This came as a challenge to the new chairman of the CDA, Mr Jide who seized the opportunity to prove his mettle, even in the face of the short notice.
In his Welcome Address to Ajumoni-Ota ACDC Chairman, Engr Kolapo Aliu and his ExCo members, chairmen of other CDAs in Ajumoni-Ota Area as well as community leaders and government officials, Mr Jide expressed gratitude to God for making it possible for his CDA to be counted worthy of hosting the meeting in spite of the relatively short notice and being the first of such meeting to be held by his relatively young administration.
Achievements
One major achievement recorded by his young administration is the prompt payment of security men, according to Mr Jide. He therefore seized the opportunity to thank all members of his Community for always responding quickly to security matters which is evidenced in their prompt payment of Security fees.
The Oba Adelu CDA chairman noted that when security men are paid promptly and regularly, they would be happy to do their work, devoid of any kind of temptation and distraction.
Transformer and Electricity Supply
The chairman also seized the opportunity to announce that Oba Adelu CDA is expecting a new Transformer, for which preparation are on-going with the construction of the slab, upon which the Transformer would sit.
Mr Jide also seized the opportunity to thank an elder in the Community, Chief Dr Shobanjo who provided the piece of land upon which the Transformer would be placed. The chairman also, on behalf of Oba Adelu CDA, thanked Chief Shobanjo for allowing the Community to pass NEPA electric cable through his premises to connect erected concrete poles.
Tenement (Community) Rates
Mr Jide also noted that his Community has paid the first and second batches of Community Rates and duly cleared by the Local Government. He also called on the attendees at the meeting to join him in remembering those members of his Community who had departed this mortal world. He mentioned Late Adebowale George Taylor, Late Pa Akinolu a.k.a Yinka Palace and Late G.B. Ogunbiyi a.k.a Baba Teacher.
The Oba Adelu CDA chairman also appreciated Ajumoni Ota ACDC chairman, Engr Kolapo Aliu, former chairman of Oba Adelu CDA, Commissioner Olusesi, as well as the immediate past chairman, Engr Jide Adejare.
Likewise, earlier in his Welcome Address, Mr Jide appreciated the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives, Hon. Gbenga Adenmosun, Chairman of Ado Odo Ota Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Adewale Musa a.k.a SAM, His Royal Majesty HRM Oba (Prof) Abdulkareem Adeyemi Obalanlege (Lanlege Ekun II), Baale of Ikowogbe Titun, Prince Ademola Oyede, Oba of Ebira, Chief Ahmed as well as representatives of the State and Local Governments.
