Iju ACDC members protest to IBEDC with placards
Still on IBEDC and Electricity supply, members of Iju ACDC today Tuesday, 15th February, 2022, stormed the Iyana Rosco Bus stop office of IBEDC with placards, calling on IBEDC to wake up to their responsibility of metering their Community, correcting the issuance of “crazy bills” and stepping up the rate of power supply in Alasia/Borehole area.
The Protestants were led by the chairman of Iju ACDC himself.
In a chat with one of the protesters, one Mr JJ, he told OtaNEWS online newspaper that Iju has been totally neglected in the scheme of things regarding power supply by IBEDC.
Mr JJ, who declined his real name and that of his chairman, told this reporter that their grouse with IBEDC border on non-supply of pre-paid meters to subscribers who had paid, long, long time ago, sometimes running into years!
Other causes of disaffection with IBEDC, according to JJ is issuance of “crazy bills” and irregular power supply.
