He disclosed that the chairman of Globacom, Dr Mike Adenuga had volunteered to fix the Ota-Idiroko Road axis in an agreement with the Federal Government.
Governor Abiodun stated further that the Federal Minister of Works, Mr Babatunde Fashola who was standing by his side at the venue of the construction site would brief the Press on the situation on ground.
In his own contribution, Minister Fashola confirmed that the Federal Government is already working on the Reconstruction of the Ota-Abeokuta Road at a cost of N13.4billion.
He disclosed that that amount (N13.4b) is the net and cumulative amount needed to fix the bad portions of the Ota-Abeokuta Road, adding that the money has already been approved and earmarked for that purpose.
He confirmed that the Federal Government had met with, agreed with, and will cooperate with Globacom chairman, Dr Mike Adenuga in his decision to fix the Ota-Idiroko axis road of the State under an agreed token.
